The Sales Analyst collects and analyzes sales data to identify trends and opportunities, forecasts future sales, and creates reports to communicate performance. This role conducts market research and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies.

Position Information: This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to the Vice President of Sales Operations, Analytics and Planning Systems

 

Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $86,261 and $125,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

 

Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote.

Envision Your Experience.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Supports sales data, sales forecasts, quota setting and strategies to provide insights to optimize sales performance.
  • Manages reports from CRM tool (SalesForce.com) for national, region or individual sales team.
  • Interprets and analyzes sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for sales growth.
  • Designs comprehensive reports to communicate sales performance, trends, and forecasts to stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Utilizes SQL to extract and transform data in order to deliver reports and prepare presentations.
  • Utilizes data and analytics to develop actionable insights and strategies to assist with sales opportunities.
  • Maintains and supports documentation necessary for data governance, process and knowledge transfer.
  • Conducts market research to understand customer behavior, market trends, and competitor performance.
  • Develops financial and utilization reports, including benchmarks, key performance indicators and trends.
  • Works with the business intelligence team to build and maintains several SQL databases.
  • Identifies areas for improvement or better alignment of systems and data with the business process and need. Then works with teams to prioritize and see through to completion in order to utilize in new reporting and analytics.
  • Keeps abreast of the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in sales analytics to continually improve the sales performance of the organization.
  • Creates and maintains workflows to create automation, consistent and reliable reporting and analytics.

 

Share Your Expertise.

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Education or Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of data analytics experience using related tools; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced skills in SQL for complex query writing, data extraction, and database management.
  • Skilled in creating clear, impactful data visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI to help stakeholders understand the sales narratives.
  • Deep understanding of sales analytics methods and the ability to apply these techniques to analyze sales data and generate insights.
  • A solid grasp of business operations, strategy, and the ability to understand and align with the organization's sales goals.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, product and others
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • The ability to engage in critical evaluation of information, hypothesis testing, and scenario analysis.
  • Flexibility in learning and adopting new technologies, methodologies, and tools to stay at the forefront of sales analysis trends.
  • Attention to detail in reporting/analytics, validation and data maintenance.
  • Understanding of the K-12 educational market.
  • Tools (certified or Intermediate to advanced skills in); PowerBI/Tableau, SQL, Alteryx Analytics, DemandTools, Excel, Salesforce.com (SFDC), and NetSuite
